Hello Fourth Graders and Families!

I have taken a few pictures around our classroom.  I know that sometimes it is nice to see your new classroom before the first day of school.  Here is a sneak peek into our classroom.  I will show you a lot more next Wednesday!  If you have any questions, please feel free to email me.  I am really looking forward to meeting you!

Welcome to our class!  Take a look around...

The big view of our classroom.  It will look a lot different next Wednesday!

                 Our Classroom Library!
We have lots of books that are ready to be read!

Some of our fiction books.

Some of our nonfiction books

"Must read" books!  Have you read any of these?  If not, you will have your chance very soon!

Check out this bulletin board.  Each cover has the first sentence (lead) of a book.  Do any of the leads HOOK you?  If they do, open up the cover to take a peek at the book!

               Math Workshop Board

Once we get started with math workshop, everyone will have a "team" schedule to follow.  Your responsibilities for each day will be written on this board.

A fun math game that we will be playing this year!

Some of my FAVORITE quotes!  These are hanging up all around the room.

Meet Mrs. Lewis....

I love teaching fourth grade!  I have been teaching at Farley School for thirteen years.  I graduated from Rivier College with a dual degree in Elementary and Special Education.  I also have my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education.  I started out teaching in a special education classroom and then moved into fourth grade.
I live in Townsend with my husband and two boys, Kyle and Caden.  You will hear a lot of stories about Kyle and Caden this year.  They certainly keep me busy and always (almost always) make me laugh!
When I am not in school, I enjoy running and spending time with my family.  During the summer I love going to the beach with my family and swimming in the lake.  I also spend a lot of time at the baseball field and on the basketball court watching my kids play sports.  When you walk into our classroom you will notice that I LOVE Boston sports.
I am looking forward to a great year!
